The Sisters of St Louis are engaged in a wide range of health care services. Some are trained as nurses, doctors, midwives, physiotherapists, hospital/clinic administrators and teachers. We work in hospitals, clinics and in outreach programmes.

We collaborate with various agencies in preventing, treating and raising awareness about HIV/Aids, and we offer support programmes and community-based care, which enables the rehabilitation and reintegration of those affected by the disease. Access to health care for all is central to our approach, as is attentive listening, comforting, respecting dignity, and enabling informed decision-making.
